Hunters Asked to Use Caution On Clear Creek WMA

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is notifying users of Clear Creek Wildlife Management Area (WMA) that seismic operations are currently taking place within the WMA and caution should be used. Seismic activities may continue until mid- to late December.

For the safety of both hunters and seismic crews, LDWF is asking hunters to avoid areas where seismic activity is taking place. For additional information about seismic activity contact Joe Maryman at jmaryman@wlf.la.gov or 225-765-2380.

Clear Creek WMA is located in Vernon Parish approximately 20 miles west of Leesville. Clear Creek WMA is owned primarily by Hancock Forest Management and RoyOMartin and is under long-term lease to LDWF.
