Oklahoma Fishing Reports December 19

Eucha: December 14. Elevation slightly above normal, water 44 and murky. All fishing slow due to cold weather. Report submitted by Dwight Moore, City of Tulsa Fisheries.

Ft. Gibson: December 13. Elevation 1 1/4 ft. above normal, water clear. All fishing slow. Report submitted by Rick Stafford in Wagoner.

Greenleaf: December 14. Elevation normal, water clear. Largemouth bass fair on spinnerbaits and crankbaits along the shoreline and creek channels. Catfish fair on fresh cut bait on bottom. Crappie fair on minnows and purple jigs at fishing docks and brush structure. Report submitted by Lark Wilson, game warden stationed in Muskogee County.

Lower Illinois: December 10. Elevation normal, water 50 and clear. Channel catfish good on cut bait on bottom all along the river. Trout good fly fishing the surface, on rooster tails at 1-2 ft. and on power bait on bottom from the dam to Gore Landing. Report submitted by D. Tracy, Town of Gore.

Sooner: December 14. White bass and striped bass hybrids fair in the discharge on topwater sassy shad. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs around brush piles and points. Report submitted by Doug Gottschalk, game warden stationed in Noble County.

Spavinaw: December 14. Elevation slightly above normal, water 44 and murky. All fishing slow due to cold weather. Report submitted by Dwight Moore, City of Tulsa Fisheries.

Webbers Falls: December 14. Elevation normal, water murky. Largemouth bass slow. Catfish fair on fresh cut bait on bottom. Crappie fair on minnows and yellow and red jigs around bridges and brush structure. Report submitted by Lark Wilson, game warden stationed in Muskogee County.

SOUTHEAST

Lake of the Arbuckles: December 12. Elevation 1 ft. above normal, water 52 and stained. Bass being caught on Carolina-rigged lizards, drop-shot and crankbaits. Crappie being caught on jigs off docks. Channel catfish hitting spongebaits off dock. Crappie and white bass are hitting jigging spoons at 33-55 ft. Report submitted by Jack Melton.

Broken Bow: December 14. Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits and jigs. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs. Walleye beginning to bite on crawdad colored crankbaits. Report submitted by Dru Polk, game warden stationed in McCurtain County.

Eufaula: December 13. Elevation normal, water murky. Largemouth bass slow. White bass fair below the dam in running water. Blue catfish fair on fresh shad drifting the flats. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs around boat docks baited with brush. Report submitted by Ed Rodebush, game warden stationed in McIntosh County.

Hugo: December 13. Elevation normal. Catfish fair on goldfish in the main lake. Crappie fair on minnows in the main lake and fair to good on jigs at 10-14 ft. below the dam. Report submitted by Jay Harvey, game warden stationed in Choctaw County.

Konawa: December 13. Elevation normal, water 47 and clear. Largemouth bass fair on plastic worms at 15 ft. in the discharge canal. White bass and striped bass hybrids fair on minnows and jigs at 15 ft. in the discharge canal. All other fishing slow. Report submitted by Daryl Howser, game warden stationed in Seminole County.

McGee Creek: December 13. Elevation 1 1/2 ft. above normal, water 58 and clear. Largemouth bass fair to good on soft plastic lures at 16-24 ft. Crappie fair to good on minnows and jigs over baited holes in cedar brush off of main creek channels. Report submitted by Larry Luman, game warden stationed in Atoka County.

Pine Creek: December 13. Elevation normal, water clear. Bass fair on soft plastic lures in deeper water. Crappie great on jigs near deep brush piles and around the old highway bridge. Catfish slow. Report submitted by Mark Hannah, game warden stationed in McCurtain County.

Robert S. Kerr: December 14. Elevation normal, water 55 and murky. Crappie fair on minnows around the submerged brush piles. Largemouth bass and white bass slow. Catfish fair on fresh shad and fishing the creek and the river channels. Report submitted by Leland Sockey, game warden stationed in Haskell County.

Texoma: December 13. Elevation normal, water 56 and mostly clear. Largemouth and smallmouth bass fair to good around places with riprap. Striped and white bass fair to good in the river channels. Channel and blue catfish fair to good from Washita point north. Crappie fair to good around the fish attractors and fishing docks with sunken brush piles. Wister: December 13. Elevation normal, water murky. Largemouth bass good on soft plastic worms and spinnerbaits. Crappie fair on small spinnerbaits, pink jigs and minnows. Channel and blue catfish fair on juglines with cut shad and liver. Report submitted by Randy Fennell, game warden stationed in LeFlore County.

SOUTHWEST

Altus-Lugert: December 13. Elevation 22 ft. below normal and rising slowly. Striped bass hybrids fair to good in deeper waters. Catfish, crappies and walleyes slow. Report submitted by Sue Hokanson, Quartz Mountain State Park.

Ellsworth: December 13. Elevation normal. Crappie good on minnows and jigs at Ralph’s Resort around boathouses. Report submitted by Mike Carroll, game warden stationed in Comanche County.
