Seasonal Lake Level Change for Hamlin Lake Begins April 1

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment today announced that Ludington State Park will begin raising Hamlin Lake to its summer level on Thursday, April 1.

The summer level is maintained at approximately two feet above the winter level. It is anticipated that it will take two to four weeks to raise the water to its summer level, depending upon precipitation during this time period.

If ice is still on the lake at that time, the process will be delayed until the lake is ice free.

Ludington State Park is located at 8800 W. M-116 in Ludington. For more information or updates, contact the park at 231-843-2423.
