Permits will be limited and given on a first-come, first-served basis from the Lihue DOFAW Office at 3060 Eiwa St., Rm. 306, Lihue, HI 96766. Participants must present their 2013-2014 Hawaii Hunting license when acquiring their permit. A participant may acquire up to three additional permits for other participants, but must present their hunting license as well. A participant may sign up for both archery and muzzleloader control hunting periods.

Archery only dates (two-day slots): Sept. 7-8 and 14-15, 2013. Archery permits will be available on Aug. 12, 2013, at 8 a.m.

Muzzleloader only dates (two-day slots): Sept. 21-22 and 28-29, 2013; October 5-6, 12-13, 19-20 and 26-27, 2013. Muzzleloader permits will be available on Aug. 19, 2013, at 8 a.m.

Game mammals shall not be hunted on state-owned or state-controlled lands without a permit from DOFAW.

Due to the July 2012 Kokee fire declaration closure, vehicle access to portions of Hunting Unit A remains closed.

All requirements contained in Chapter 123, “Rules Regulating Game Mammal Hunting,” shall apply. For further information, call the Lihue DOFAW office at (808) 274 3433 on regular working days from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
