This is a great opportunity to assist ranchers in getting buck/doe ratios in order and in educating underprivileged children to the responsibilities of hunting.

For the season, Operation Orphans, Inc. has hosted 147 boys and girls with a total animal harvest of 165.

Individuals preparing the sack lunches for the hunting groups to enjoy Saturday were Sierra Martin, Aspen Martin, Dakota Martin, Christie Lehmberg, June Durst, Sherry Lehmberg and Barbara Collard. Mason Boy Scouts who cooked breakfast early Saturday morning were Sammy Martinez III, Zach Smart, Nick Rodriguez and Emanuel Martinez. Mason Bottling supplied soft drinks and Durham Pecan Company supplied candy and nuts.

Individuals wishing to host boys for the January hunt may contact Jerry or Lyla Crouch, Camp Supervisors, phone: 325.347.6745, or may visit the web site: www.orperationorphans.org, click on info, and fill out the ranch information. Operation Orphans, Inc. is always in need of gently used coats, camo hunting clothes, toboggans, gloves and boots.
