South Dakota 2018-2020 Small Game Seasons Announced

PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP) Commission proposed no changes to the following small game hunting seasons: grouse, quail, Sandhill crane, snipe, partridge, squirrel, cottontail rabbit, mourning dove and crow. Since no changes were proposed, these seasons are set for the next three years as described below.

Grouse

September 15, 2018 – January 6, 2019
September 21, 2019 – January 5, 2020
September 19, 2020 – January 3, 2021
Quail

October 20, 2018 – January 6, 2019
October 19, 2019 – January 5, 2020
October 17, 2020 – January 3, 2021
Sandhill Crane

September 22 – November 18, 2018
September 28 – November 24, 2019
September 26 – November 22, 2020
Snipe

September 1 – October 31, 2018

Partridge
