All MDC Managed Waterfowl Hunts Going to COVID Level Red

Based on the Governor’s recent Public Health Warning (Public Health Warning), consultations with local health departments, and concern for staff and public safety, MDC has decided to move all managed waterfowl hunts to COVID Red Level effective Wednesday, Nov. 25.

This was not an easy decision for the planning committee and MDC Administration but the planning committee established goals and procedures to continue to provide waterfowl hunting opportunities in a managed way and provide for the safety of staff and the public during this global pandemic.

Please note that under COVID Red Level, the following apply:

No poor line or vacancy filling,
No staff-hunter contact,
No facility use allowed,
100% reservation allocation for residents only through in-season draw,
Non-residents only allowed to hunt with resident who has drawn a reservation,
Hunt positions will be pre-assigned.

All hunters that have drawn a reservation need to go to this website and do the steps listed below: (Please be patient as we are uploading information as quickly as possible so check back later if your respective area is not showing yet)

Use your pill number to find where your respective hunting location will be on your reservation date.
Find a map of your hunting location.
Print off the Daily Waterfowl Hunting Tag (Green Card) and bring it with you on your hunt date.
Review the Red Level Procedures.
Review the area specific regulations.
You DO NOT need to show up at the Draw Time, you can simply go straight to your hunting location no earlier than the established draw time found at:
The reservation holder must be present with the hunt party at all times in RED level.
