Attend the Mountain Goat Watch in Salt Lake Valley

Mountain goats often spend winter and early spring near the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon. With luck, goats will be viewable to the public through binoculars and spotting scopes during this free viewing event. Our biologists will be there to answer questions and provide literature. This annual event is a great time to admire the tall and majestic canyon walls of Little Cottonwood Canyon and view these acrobatic animals. We’ll also have a mountain goat hide, horns, rubber animal tracks and other visual aids on hand so you can learn more about Utah’s remarkable wildlife.

Join us at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon at the Park-n-Ride lot located on the north side of the canyon.

Registration for this event is not mandatory and tickets are not required, but we’re asking that you please fill out the registration form so we can make improvements to future events.
