Entries Sought for Wildlife Art Show
|FRANKFORT, Ky. — The Ohio Valley Art League and the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources invites wildlife artists across the United States to submit works for the 13th biennial Kentucky National Wildlife Art Exhibition.
The organization will accept nominations for the juried art show from July 2-30. The exhibit will be open for the public Oct. 8 through Nov. 29 at the Preston Arts Center, 2660 South Green Street, Henderson, Ky.
Artists in the 2016 exhibition received cash awards totaling nearly $14,000.
Exhibit Juror Kathy Kelsey Foley serves as the executive director of the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, Wisconsin. Kelsey, who earned her master’s degree in art history from John Hopkins University, has museum training and corporate experience at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., The Dayton Art Institute and Northwestern University’s Block Museum of Art.
Ohio Valley Artist League Executive Director Jordyn Myracle will team with former League Executive Director Jule McClellan to curate the show.
