Nebraska’s Firearm Deer Season Begins Nov 12

Deer hunting in Nebraska is a long-standing tradition — make sure you don’t miss out this fall. With trophy-quality deer, over-the-counter permits, $5 youth permits and the opportunity to hunt the rut, there are many reasons to join us on the field.

The November 12 – 20 deer firearm season is fast approaching. Archery season is still underway, ending Dec. 31. December is also the month for muzzleloader deer season. Permits are still available in many units; buy yours on our website.

Your first stop for planning your hunting trip should be our deer hunting page, where you can find the latest information on where to hunt. You can also learn more about special antlerless deer hunts to be held at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park, Platte River State Park and Schramm Park State Recreation Area.

Don’t leave your deer season to chance; hunt Nebraska, where we make it easy to get into the field. We look forward to seeing you out there!
