HARRISBURG, Pa. — Continuing the year-long celebration in honor of its 150th Anniversary, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) is hosting a special Open House on October 30 from 2-5 p.m. at the Reynoldsdale State Fish Hatchery, located at 162 Fish Hatchery Rd, New Paris, PA 15554.
The event is free and open to the public.
The afternoon will begin with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark major infrastructure upgrades recently completed at the hatchery. Bedford County Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Kellie Goodman Shaffer will open the event. Speakers will include Executive Director John Arway, PFBC Commissioner Lenny Lichvar, state Senators John Wozniak (D-Johnstown) and John Eichelberger, Jr. (R-Duncansville), and state Representative Jesse Topper (R-Bedford).
The Open House will include amphibian and reptile displays, “Touch-A-Truck” opportunities, hands-on activities, light refreshments, and tours of the hatchery and Visitor’s Center. More information about the PFBC’s 150th anniversary is available on our website.
