Remaining Louisiana Alligator Tags to be Distributed Beginning Sept. 1

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) will issue remaining alligator harvest tags that were to be distributed at the Baton Rouge, Lake Charles and Rockefeller LDWF Offices at the Lafayette LDWF Office beginning Tuesday (Sept. 1) due to the impact of Hurricane Laura.

The Lafayette LDWF Office is located at 200 Dulles Drive in Lafayette and tags may be picked up Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Hunter and helper licenses are $25 each and can be purchased with cash, check or money order at the time of pick up or they may be purchased online at with a credit card or electronic check. Please note that if paid for online, there is a transaction fee of $2.50 as well as a 2.5% credit card processing fee.
