See Ospreys at Flaming Gorge

Saturday, July 13 from 9 a.m-12 p.m.
Flaming Gorge Dam Visitor Center Parking Lot, 5995 Dutch John, UT 84023

Ospreys — often called sea hawks — are unique birds of prey that love to breed at Flaming Gorge. Join us during a free viewing event and you may get to see ospreys on their nests with their chicks.

We’ll have biologists, spotting scopes and displays there to teach you more about the life history of these unusual fish-eating birds.

The viewing event will be held next to the parking lot at Flaming Gorge Dam visitor center. The visitor center is in Dutch John, at the south end of Flaming Gorge Reservoir in northeastern Utah. Viewing runs from 9 a.m. to noon. We suggest bringing lunch or snacks, and sunscreen. You may also consider doing a tour of the dam while you’re there.

Registration for this event is not mandatory and tickets are not required, but we’re asking that you please fill out the registration form so we can make improvements to future events.
