CONCORD, N.H. — Improve your ice fishing skills by taking advantage of two free ice fishing seminars presented this January at the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, 11 Hazen Drive in Concord. No pre-registration is necessary. Talks begin at 7:00 p.m. See you there!
Catching White Perch and Lake Trout through the Ice — Wednesday, January 4:
Presenter Tim Moore will cover the tools and techniques he uses to catch white perch and lake trout through the ice. He will discuss the equipment he uses, where he finds these fish, and angling techniques he prefers.
“White perch are fun to catch, but I know how it feels to struggle catching them. Hopefully, I can share some information and help other anglers turn the corner on these unique fish,” says Moore. This seminar will have a strong emphasis on white perch, but lake trout can often be caught in the same or similar areas, so Moore will talk about them, as well.
Tim Moore is a full-time New Hampshire fishing guide, outdoor writer, and the producer of Tim Moore Outdoors TV. During the winter months, he guides hundreds of ice anglers from across the country in pursuit of giant white perch and lake trout, and travels the country giving seminars at shows and fishing clubs. He has been featured on television shows such as Fish and Game’s New Hampshire’s Wildside TV, Field & Stream’s Hook Shots, and Across the Ice Belt with Ice Team on FSN (Fox Sports Network).
