Vermont Youth Deer Hunting November 3rd & 4th

Youth Deer Hunting Weekend offers an opportunity for kids 15 and under to hone deer-hunting skills and provide important deer information to biologists.

Kids 15 and under may participate if they:
have successfully completed a hunter education course
purchase a hunting license and obtain a free youth deer hunting tag
are accompanied by an unarmed adult who holds a VT hunting license

Successful youth hunters must bring their deer to one of 24 Biological Reporting Stations. Information taken provides insight on the current herd and is extremely helpful in guiding deer management decisions.

Along with having deer examined and aged by a biologist, successful youth hunters visiting a biological reporting station will receive a 2018 Vermont Hunter Cooperator Patch at the station.
