Wildlife Licensing Specialist job opening in Salt Lake County

The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR) is seeking a wildlife licensing specialist to coordinate and oversee all of the DWR hunt drawings. The licensing specialist will make sure that all DWR drawings open and close on schedule, and without errors. The specialist will also work closely with the wildlife coordinators for accurate drawing data. We are looking for an individual who has excellent attention to detail, great communication skills and a passion for all things related to wildlife. Principal duties

As a wildlife licensing specialist, you will:

Coordinate all the DWR hunt drawings.
Attend Proclamation Review Committee meetings and review guidebook drafts to ensure accuracy.
Oversee the Lifetime License Program.
Handle customers’ needs associated with all DWR drawings.
Know, understand, and be able to interpret and explain administrative rules and state statutes related to the DWR.
Provide information to the public, the Regional Advisory Councils and the Wildlife Board.

Knowledge and/or experience with the DWR’s public process.
Knowledge and/or experience with the DWR’s hunt drawings.
Excellent attention to detail.
The ability to work independently and as a team player.
An understanding of DWR-related statutes, rules and regulations, and the ability to clearly interpret and explain them to others.
Outstanding time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
