Youth fishing tournament at East Canyon Reservoir

Get the kids outdoors and fishing! Our youth fishing tournament at East Canyon Reservoir offers fun, fishing and prizes.

The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources and East Canyon State Park have partnered to host the fourth annual Youth Fishing Tournament on Saturday, April 30, 2022. This youth fishing tournament is organized into three age brackets: 5-9 years old, 10-14 years old and 15-17 years old. We aim to provide an avenue for youth to showcase their abilities and to accommodate all skill levels. Even if your kids have never fished before, everyone is welcome to participate!

Prize categories include:

Top three finishes for largest trout in each age bracket.
Largest “unique” species (any species other than trout).

Participation in this tournament is free, but there is a $20 day-use fee to enter East Canyon State Park per vehicle.
